Greyson Bryan is a Stanford and Harvard educated lawyer with O’Melveny & Myers whose expertise in the arena of international business intelligence provides a fascinating framework for his novels. From his Author’s Note for his first book BIG Beginnings:
"For years friends had bet me that I could write a novel based on my stories about international law. I’d laugh. I was lawyer; I had no time to be a novelist. One day I found myself on a six-hour flight to Washington without a good book or movie. I took out my laptop to work, but instead began making a list of unusual deals I’d worked on, a list which ultimately became the backdrop for the BIG series.
The title “BIG” is borrowed from the real-world Business Intelligence Group at Goldman Sachs, whose talented members were friends and colleagues. Duncan Luke, the lawyer at the center of the series, mirrored my experience as a single father and lawyer with a demanding practice.
With a few hours to kill, I started writing. Why did I continue after I got off the plane? I wanted to learn how my new friends Duncan and Ghislaine would turn out. Once I started writing, I couldn’t stop.”
Praise for the BIG Series:
"International Lawyer Bryan puts his professional experience to good use in his engrossing first novel . . . Readers will root for the sympathetic Duncan as he morphs into a more grounded version of James Bond or Jason Bourne." --Publishers Weekly
